Destination: New York City, New York
We departed from Baltimore, MD at 6:00 A.M. because Katelyn actually hates me and made me get up and drive that early. We stopped and explored a few small towns on our way to the Big Apple. We arrived in New York City, NY at 11:00 A.M., and I almost cried because I love it so much.
The first thing we did was go to Pick-a-Bagel because Katelyn was having bagel withdrawals. After Pick-a-Bagel, we made our way to the Guggenheim to check out some of New York's great artwork. Its unique architecture is intriguing, but the art work will blow you away. After exploring the Guggenheim we did some shopping on Times Square waiting for our show time on Broadway. We attended Les Miserables, and I watched Katelyn literally cry from being overwhelmed with happiness. I almost cried as well because the experience was incredible.
Leaving the musical in tears, we stopped at Ellen's Stardust Diner on Broadway, which is absolutely amazing, 10 out of 10 would recommend. Our hotel was conveniently two blocks away from Times Square and the nicest we have stayed at so far. Our first day in the Big Apple was a huge success, and I am beyond excited see what tomorrow brings.
