Destination: Boston, MA
We ate a surprisingly good complementary breakfast at our B&B this morning and hit the road at 9:30am, which Erin complained about once again. We made it to Boston about two hours later and ate at a cheap burger joint because I was starving. We spent a couple hours at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, which was honestly one of the coolest places ever. It's a huge collection of art inside a Venetian-style home that Isabella Stewart Gardner collected during her lifetime. Then we checked out Freedom Trail, which is not a hiking trail at all, I was happy to hear. It's a 2.5 mile path through downtown Boston that passes several very historically significant locations. Supper was at Charlie's Sandwich Shoppe, which has been in Boston since 1927. We checked out the Boston Common and enjoyed the history of the city until it was time to go back to the hotel.
